There are many reasons why I love being a photographer. At the top of the list are the relationships I'm able to make with my clients. After a session or two, we become friends, and I look forward to each session that we have together. This is exactly what has happened with Steph and Jared. Steph had originally reached out to me to help announce her pregnancy. She brought the most adorable props, and we took great announcement photos that she was able to share with friends and family.
A few months later, Steph reached out for her maternity photos. It was so much fun seeing her growing bump, and hearing her and Jared talk about their upcoming arrival of baby. I learned even more about the duo like how Jared brews beer. I'm crossing my fingers for a sample of that beer at a future session!
In January, their sweet little girl arrived. I was so excited when I got the message from Steph. She scheduled a studio newborn session. We were able to jump right into the session, laugh together, and I got to hear Jared speak German to baby girl. I could tell Steph and Jared have immediately become such amazing parents as I watched them cuddle baby L, kiss on her, and talk with her. Baby girl loved looking up at her mom and dad during the shoot. She was awake most of the session, but so content and sweet. We were excited to capture photos of her with her eyes open since most of her family and friends had only seen photos of her sleeping.
I can't explain how excited I am to continue on this journey on them and watch baby girl grow up. I consider myself very lucky.
