Jelke Bird Sanctuary | Elgin Area Family Photographer
One of my favorite parts of photo sessions is learning new things and forming new relationships with people. This family is so personable and kind. The 15 minute session went by in the blink of an eye. The oldest daughter told me about her favorite dinosaur (turns out she could probably work for the Field Museum based on her dinosaur knowledge!) while the youngest showed off her great dance moves. Speaking of dance moves, the photo session turned into a dance party when dad played Radio Ga Ga by Queen. It was very clear that dancing was something this family loved to do together. Have you ever had a dance party in the middle of a bird sanctuary? If not, I highly recommend it.
Mom and daughters did such a great job interacting with one another throughout the session. You could definitely tell what a caring mom Joanna is. And dad was the best photographer assistant. I might consider hiring him on for future sessions... :)
Here are a few of my favorites from the session. It was hard to narrow it down because each picture is bursting with so much love between a mom and her two girls.
